Description

  • Oversee day-to-day delivery of project management services, including governance, team leadership, project oversight, performance tracking, communication, and quality control.
  • Directly supervise a remote PMO team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Program Managers managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ensure technical engagements meet defined scope, schedule, budget, contractual, and delivery-standard expectations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and departmental teams on project execution, resource coordination, and delivery outcomes.
  • Monitor project metrics, financial performance, risks, and issues; support mitigation or escalation as appropriate.
  • Lead problem-solving and decision-making while adapting to changing priorities and project dynamics.
  • Maintain customer-focused service and effective cross-functional communication.
  • Travel onsite as required by business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a PMO Manager or Director in a large enterprise matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing multiple ongoing priorities and complex IT projects involving technical deployments.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and PMBOK.
  • Experience managing project financials, including budgets, cost control, metrics, and performance data.
  • Experience identifying, resolving, and escalating project risks and issues to maintain delivery commitments.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with statements of work, contractual commitments, and delivery standards.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with executive and vertical leadership and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • At least two of the following certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master, or Microsoft Project 2016/2019.
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain required federal agency clearance, potentially involving a 10-year background investigation.
