Description

Research market structures, tariffs, development pathways, and project opportunities across U.S. power markets.
Work with Policy, Project Development, and Financial Modeling & Analysis teams to evaluate market sizing, economics, and business cases for expansion.
Support the initial execution of new market strategies by defining site acquisition and system design parameters.
Compose RFP responses by compiling project details, bid information, and company materials.
Track opportunities and analysis requests using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
Provide feedback on ways to improve internal tools for modeling and analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Offsite Solutions & Strategic Accounts and Engineering.
Help assess the applicability of developing both energy generation and battery energy storage projects.

Requirements

Experience in power markets and/or project development is required.
Ability to work collaboratively within a small team.
Strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to digest and synthesize a broad range of policy and market information.
Interest and competence in researching qualitative and quantitative power market data.
Proficiency with data manipulation and analysis tools such as Excel.
Willingness to work with databases such as Salesforce.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or comparable work experience.
Master’s degree in a relevant field or comparable work experience is preferred.
2 to 4 years of experience in the power industry is preferred.
Knowledge of renewable energy finance or project finance concepts is preferred.
Experience in renewable energy is preferred but not required.
Proficiency with analytics tools such as MATLAB, Python, R, SQL, and Tableau is preferred.

Benefits

Estimated base salary of $90,000 to $120,000 per year.
Eligibility for a substantial bonus plan and commission plan with a target bonus of 20% of annual salary.
