Description

  • Direct and manage all daily operations at the Wales Test Site, ensuring the site is safe, secure, fully functional, and compliant.
  • Coordinate with Test & Engineering engineers, logistics teams, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor site supplies and equipment, maintain inventory levels, and manage demonstration and deployment inventory.
  • Identify and resolve site issues related to utilities, maintenance, and workplace services.
  • Use data analytics to improve site efficiency, space utilization, and operational performance.
  • Lead operational, workplace, and infrastructure projects from conception to completion, including budgets, timelines, and contractors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, landlords, and strategic partners.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across site and facility functions.

Requirements

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a track record of operational excellence.
  • Proven project management experience in technical environments, including collaboration with Test Engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in hands-on operational management and logistical support, ideally in aerospace, defense, or complex engineering environments.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to support decision-making and workplace improvements.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of ownership and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong commitment to compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to solve complex cross-functional problems with a people-centric approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or a Higher National Diploma plus at least four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to conduct manual handling of materials and equipment.
  • Valid UK Driving License.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Check clearance promptly, and a U.S. Top Secret-level clearance if required.
  • Experience working with military or highly regulated test ranges, such as DoD or MoD test ranges, preferred.
  • Background in cUAS, UAS, or autonomous flight test programs, preferred.
  • Experience overseeing operations across multiple locations, preferred.
