Description

Lead the build-out and day-to-day management of the Operations and Maintenance department.
Oversee asset operations across the full lifecycle for a growing portfolio of distributed solar and battery storage assets.
Apply technical expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime and system performance.
Develop operating plans and budgets that support portfolio output and financial performance.
Drive data strategy and systems improvements, including data integrity and integration of monitoring platforms.
Partner with Construction Management, Engineering, and Finance to transition assets smoothly from construction into operations.
Build and manage a scalable service model and oversee external service providers for planned and unplanned maintenance.
Negotiate O&M contracts and manage RMA processes for faulty components, including critical BESS hardware.
Strengthen relationships with landowners, contractors, and internal asset management teams.
Build and lead a high-performing team with an ownership mindset and customer-service orientation.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in solar and/or storage O&M or asset management.
Deep understanding of BESS technologies, solar equipment, and system design.
Experience with solar and storage monitoring (DAS) platforms such as AlsoEnergy and SolarEdge.
Ability to interpret complex system drawings.
Demonstrated experience in budgeting, contract negotiation, and financial performance optimization.
Proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Engineering background preferred.
Experience with PVsyst, Helioscope, or storage modeling software preferred.

Benefits

Base salary of $145,000 to $185,000 per year, depending on experience.
Target annual bonus of 30% of salary, prorated in the first year.
