Description

  • Build Pinner-facing frontend features in Android to support Pinterest’s product experience.
  • Contribute to and lead the product development process from ideation through implementation and release.
  • Rapidly prototype solutions and run A/B tests to evaluate product ideas.
  • Architect and build scalable solutions that can support millions of users.
  • Partner with product, design, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.
  • Suggest new product ideas and features based on user perspective and product needs.
  • Use automated testing to deliver high-quality features and own the components you develop.
  • Collaborate with world-class peers on high-impact engineering projects.
  • Use AI to draft, prototype, outline, compare approaches, synthesize information, and automate repeatable tasks.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of Android development and best practices in Kotlin and/or Java, including activity lifecycle and memory management.
  • 5+ years of industry Android application development experience building consumer-facing or business-facing products.
  • Experience writing reliable and maintainable code used by many other engineers.
  • Ability to stay current with new technologies and determine what should be incorporated.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in day-to-day workflow.
  • Strong ability to critically evaluate and verify AI-assisted work through testing, source-checking, data validation, and peer review.
  • High integrity and ownership, including protecting sensitive data and remaining accountable for final decisions and deliverables.
  • Preferred: Experience building robust frameworks and features for large-scale consumer products.
  • US-based applicants only; this position is not eligible for relocation assistance.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $149,600 to $308,000 USD for US-based applicants.
  • Eligible for equity.
