Description

  • Work with customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform.
  • Define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions across the full project life cycle.
  • Understand client business processes and technical needs in an agile environment.
  • Launch new relational data models in production and develop APIs to integrate with multiple systems.
  • Brainstorm AI use cases and implement Appian AI tools using RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models.
  • Collaborate with client technical teams and business users throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Drive adoption by helping clients become self-sufficient in building process applications.
  • Mentor and develop others and help lead small teams through post-sale software implementation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with hands-on software development or technical consulting.
  • B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% or less annually.
  • Experience leading small teams through post-sale software implementation.
  • Ability to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for technology and continuous learning.
  • Experience building products using agile methodologies, including pair programming, stand-ups, planning sessions, and sprints.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with relational databases, database design/data modeling, and SQL (queries, joins, views, etc.).
  • Knowledge of software testing practices, including test-driven development and automated test suites in a CI framework.
  • Integration experience using REST, SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services.
  • Familiarity with AWS, AI, analytics, machine learning, Google Cloud, application integration, database, developer tools, management & governance, and elastic containers (preferred).
