Description

  • Own quality for web platform features across the UI, APIs, and backend services.
  • Design and execute manual test cases and exploratory testing for complex web and API workflows.
  • Perform regression testing after bugs are resolved.
  • Build and maintain automated test suites for web platform coverage.
  • Validate frontend-backend integration, data consistency, and error handling.
  • Perform API contract testing, schema validation, and negative and edge-case testing.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, backend engineers, product managers, and designers during design, implementation, and code reviews.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast and reliable feedback.
  • Analyze test failures, investigate root causes, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Advocate for quality best practices, including shift-left testing, risk-based testing, and automation strategy.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools such as Jira.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in QA or Quality Engineering with a strong focus on web platforms and APIs.
  • Proven hands-on experience testing complex consumer-facing web applications manually.
  • Strong experience building and maintaining API tests using tools such as Postman, REST-assured, Supertest, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with web automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
  • Solid understanding of HTTP, REST, and API design principles.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders in a high-trust, high-velocity cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in day-to-day work.
  • Strong track record of critically evaluating and verifying AI-assisted work through testing, source-checking, data validation, or peer review.
  • High integrity and ownership, including protecting sensitive data and remaining accountable for final decisions and deliverables.
  • Preferred: experience testing large-scale, high-traffic web platforms.
  • Preferred: familiarity with React or modern frontend frameworks.
  • Preferred: experience with performance, load, or reliability testing for APIs and web applications.
  • Preferred: exposure to feature flags, experimentation platforms, or observability tools.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $109,242 to $224,910 USD for US-based applicants.
  • Eligible for equity.
