Description

  • Drive AI compliance and governance product strategy across Pinner- and advertiser-facing AI products.
  • Own user-facing and internal data controls for AI training, including opt-out mechanisms.
  • Expand and support AI compliance tooling such as watermarking, provenance, governance workflows, and inventories.
  • Partner with Legal, Privacy, Policy, Security, and Engineering to translate regulatory requirements into product workstreams.
  • Lead high-visibility cross-functional programs across product, infrastructure, and engineering teams.
  • Align stakeholders on tradeoffs, sequencing, and resourcing for AI governance initiatives.
  • Serve as a principal-level thought partner on AI governance and long-range AI product strategy.
  • Identify emerging risk and compliance gaps early and advocate for needed infrastructure and processes.

Requirements

  • Deep AI/ML or data platform product experience, including products that rely on training data, user data, or complex backend systems.
  • Experience in AI safety, responsible AI, or AI compliance is a strong plus.
  • Proven success driving cross-company, multi-year programs at a Staff/Principal level or equivalent.
  • Experience working closely with Legal, Privacy, Policy, and Security teams to operationalize requirements.
  • Fluency with data and governance concepts, including data classification, lineage, retention, opt-outs, and enforcement.
  • Track record of building or scaling compliance or governance tooling such as policy engines, inventories, detection or labeling systems, approval workflows, or audit and reporting capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills with executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Comfort operating in fast-changing regulatory and technical environments with a pragmatic, principle-driven approach.
  • Ability to lead and execute with urgency in highly ambiguous environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $228,911 to $471,286 USD for US-based applicants.
  • Eligible for equity.
  • Flexible PinFlex working model with periodic in-office collaboration.
  • Role can be situated anywhere in the country.
  • Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
