Description

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for SoFi's real-time payments platform, including FedNow, Fedwire, instant debit, and future real-time rails.
  • Scale real-time payments capabilities to additional business lines and onboard new use cases across SoFi products.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure payments are secure, compliant, resilient, and accurately reconciled.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships with processors, networks, the Federal Reserve, and card network partners.
  • Drive operational excellence by defining SLAs, monitoring platform health, reducing failure rates, and improving support tooling.
  • Define key metrics for platform performance, including success rate, speed, funds availability, cost per transaction, fraud, and complaints.
  • Build the data infrastructure needed to track and report platform metrics.
  • Influence internal teams and business units to increase adoption of Bank Platform services.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with significant experience in payments, financial infrastructure, or money movement platforms.
  • Deep understanding of payment rails such as FedNow, Fedwire, RTP, ACH, and card-based instant payments.
  • Experience in platform product management for infrastructure serving multiple internal or external customers.
  • Experience with payment orchestration, including routing logic, fallback strategies, rail selection, and transaction lifecycle management.
  • Experience managing vendor and partner relationships with processors, networks, or infrastructure vendors.
  • Strong understanding of AML, KYC, OFAC, and Reg E requirements for real-time payments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define and instrument metrics from scratch.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex technical topics to executives, business partners, and operations teams.
  • Experience at a bank, neobank, or bank-as-a-service provider, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Galileo's platform, such as Payment Hub or Cyberbank Core, or similar core banking processors, preferred.
  • Experience supporting both consumer and commercial use cases on the same platform, preferred.
  • Background in RTGS systems, cross-border payments, or correspondent banking, preferred.
  • Technical depth such as reading API specs, reviewing architecture diagrams, or writing SQL queries, preferred.
