Description

  • Build technology using advances in deep learning and machine learning to personalize Pinterest.
  • Collaborate with teams across Pinterest to experiment with and improve machine learning models.
  • Apply data-driven methods to improve candidate retrieval using Pinterest’s data.
  • Develop and optimize models for product surfaces such as Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, and Search.
  • Work in a high-impact environment with rapid experimentation and product launches.
  • Monitor industry trends in recommendation systems.
  • Gather, manipulate, and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from varied sources.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related quantitative discipline, or a foreign equivalent.
  • Alternatively, a master’s degree in a related field plus 3 years of experience in the offered role or a related machine learning occupation.
  • Proficiency in Python and Java.
  • Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
  • Experience adapting machine learning methods to distributed clusters, multicore SMP, or GPU environments.
  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience with recommender systems, NLP, signal processing, and data mining.
  • Experience working with complex, high-volume, high-dimensional datasets.
