Description

  • Lead Looker-centric analytics engagements from requirements gathering through prototype, dashboard, and production solution delivery.
  • Own client communication for assigned workstreams, including status updates, working sessions, and expectation management.
  • Design, develop, and optimize LookML models, data structures, and SQL queries for performant analytics experiences.
  • Guide clients on best practices for data visualization, data preparation, and analytics architecture.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and tune Looker solutions and related data pipelines to improve performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to backlog refinement and issue resolution with internal delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in data analytics and data visualization platforms in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong Looker skills, including LookML development, dashboard creation, and advanced visualization techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehouses, data marts, and analytical data models.
  • Experience with data preparation tools such as Alteryx or KNIME, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of BI and analytics tools such as Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Omni, or dbt.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical concepts and insights clearly to business users.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience working with external or internal clients on analytics or BI initiatives (preferred).
  • Looker certification (LookML Developer or equivalent) and Looker administration experience, including permissions, user access, security roles, and infrastructure setup (preferred).
  • Experience integrating Looker with other analytics platforms or embedding Looker in business applications (preferred).
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, GCP, AWS, or Azure (preferred).
  • Experience leading teams of consultants to support performance, utilization, and successful project delivery (preferred).
