Description

  • Design and implement end-to-end data solutions for enterprise clients.
  • Lead technical delivery into production while ensuring performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration.
  • Mentor and support other engineers as a team lead or technical guide.
  • Work hands-on across cloud data platforms and data engineering environments.
  • Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries for data solutions.
  • Create and deliver detailed client-facing presentations and solution documentation.
  • Develop solution artifacts such as POCs, roadmaps, sequence diagrams, and system views.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and implementations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect and/or Data Engineer designing and implementing data solutions.
  • Experience leading teams or mentoring other engineers.
  • Ability to develop technical solutions end-to-end into production.
  • Programming experience in Java, Python, and/or Scala.
  • Experience with core cloud data platforms including Snowflake, Spark, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and GCP.
  • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.
  • Client-facing written and verbal communication experience.
  • Experience creating and delivering detailed presentations.
  • Experience producing detailed solution documentation such as POCs, roadmaps, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, and logical system views.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Preferred production experience with Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Hadoop, or Databricks.
  • Preferred experience with cloud and distributed data storage such as S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, ElasticSearch/Solr, Cassandra, or other NoSQL systems.
  • Preferred experience with data integration technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Streamsets, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, AWS DMS, Azure DataFactory, IICS, or Google DataProc.
  • Preferred experience integrating multiple data sources such as queues, relational databases, files, search, and APIs.
  • Preferred full software development lifecycle experience including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Preferred experience with automated data transformation and curation tools such as dbt, Spark, Spark streaming, and automated pipelines.
  • Preferred workflow management and orchestration experience with Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi, or NiFi.
