Description

  • Propose, design, and provision cloud-native data solutions on AWS and Azure.
  • Lead a technical team operating and managing modern data platforms across streaming, data lakes, and analytics environments.
  • Own multiple customer accounts as the technical leader across a variety of technical stacks.
  • Build Epics, Stories, and Tasks to mature and improve customer data platforms.
  • Delegate to and coach engineers to ensure timely delivery of technical work.
  • Recommend technologies and approaches that improve performance, security, scalability, and user satisfaction.
  • Lead discussions and contribute to data model design for data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate, optimize, and expand customer data platforms and service offerings.

Requirements

  • Advanced expertise in enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Databricks.
  • Extensive experience providing architectural and operational guidance for a cloud-native data warehouse such as Snowflake or Redshift.
  • Production experience with cloud and distributed data storage technologies such as S3, ADLS, Cassandra, or other NoSQL systems.
  • Production experience with data integration technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Matillion, Fivetran, HVR, AWS Data Migration Services, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Production experience with workflow management and orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, or Luigi.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience building automated solutions for repetitive administrative tasks using Python or a similar language.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks such as Bitbucket, GitHub, Flyway, and Liquibase.
  • Proven experience as a technical team lead and mentor of engineers.
  • Excellent client-facing written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating and delivering detailed technical presentations for executive audiences.
  • Snowflake SnowPro Core certification preferred.
  • Any Snowflake Advanced Certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
