Description

  • Own end-to-end architecture, solution design, and delivery of agentic AI solutions for enterprise clients.
  • Design and build reusable agentic accelerators and reference architectures that can be deployed across multiple clients.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into clear solution designs aligned to phData’s Intelligence Platform, methodologies, and standards.
  • Architect production-grade agents with attention to reliability, scalability, security, observability, evaluation, and guardrails.
  • Ensure client engagements are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business value.
  • Collaborate with forward-deployed engineers, data scientists, data engineers, platform/DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Help shape architectural standards for how agentic capabilities and accelerators are built and deployed.
  • Develop patterns, tooling, and ways of working to help establish the India Agentic Delivery Center.
  • Contribute internal IP such as accelerators, templates, playbooks, reference architectures, and AI engineering training.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders and mentor team members.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Software Engineer, or Data Engineer building and deploying production AI/ML solutions.
  • Recent hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agentic applications.
  • Hands-on understanding of large language models, agentic architectures, and retrieval frameworks (RAG), including prompt design, context engineering, and tool/function calling.
  • Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
  • Experience with multi-agent patterns, memory, planning, and protocols such as MCP.
  • Experience designing evaluation, guardrail, and observability strategies for LLM and agent systems (LLMOps/AgentOps).
  • Hands-on experience with Python and API development.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native AI/ML platforms such as AWS Bedrock and SageMaker, Azure AI/ML, or Snowflake Cortex.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, including writing, debugging, and optimizing complex and distributed queries.
  • Experience delivering projects in a professional services or consulting environment, ideally in a fixed-bid capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, including presenting technical solutions to clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • Preferred: experience building reusable accelerators, modular codebases, or products deployed across multiple clients.
  • Preferred: industry experience in life sciences, retail, financial services, or manufacturing.
  • Preferred: prior experience working in global or remote teams across the US, LATAM, and/or India.
  • Preferred: contributions to open source, technical communities, speaking, or writing related to AI and agents.
  • Preferred: master’s or other advanced degree in data science, computer science, or a related field.
