Description

  • Design and implement core backend services and data pipelines.
  • Perform data-driven research using big data and data science tooling.
  • Document design decisions and operational knowledge for reliable service deployment and operations.
  • Build test coverage, including unit and integration tests, with attention to performance and cost efficiency.
  • Set up and maintain robust alerting, dashboards, and runbooks for production services.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to deliver new features and products aligned with business needs.
  • Follow and promote software design and development best practices within the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience working on backend systems in an enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis, data science tasks, and/or machine learning.
  • 2+ years of programming experience in Python 2.x/3.x, Scala, or Java.
  • Understanding of SOA, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with an enterprise-grade stack for scalable web applications, including messaging brokers, in-memory storage, NoSQL, and key-value databases.
  • Strong knowledge of TDD, unit testing, and automated testing paradigms.
  • Experience with SQL and RDBMS solutions.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing using Spark.
  • Experience with AI development tools, especially agentic AI, is a plus.
  • Experience developing systems based on LLMs is a plus.
