Description

  • Lead team members during field work, including lifting operations at heights over 250 feet.
  • Oversee lifting operations and create, review, correct, and amend lifting plans.
  • Conduct safe and efficient repairs to wind turbine electrical systems.
  • Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures as an Authorized Person.
  • Complete pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Risk Assessments (RAs), and daily safety discussions.
  • Interact professionally with vendors and customers.
  • Document work accurately in electronic formats and provide feedback to Safety and Quality for process improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1.5 years of direct product experience on Siemens Gamesa platforms.
  • Direct turbine-specific experience is required.
  • Experience with Main Component Exchange (MCE) is required.
  • Knowledge of lifting operations is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics from various wind turbine manufacturers.
  • Detailed knowledge of generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to recognize potential issues and major faults.
  • SGRE Green Profile preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet.
  • Ability to maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work indoors or outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
  • 100% travel is required.
