Description

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact throughout the sales cycle.
  • Advise prospects on the use of Cincom’s products during evaluations.
  • Assist in creating proposals, RFP responses, and related technical documentation.
  • Design, deploy, and manage evaluations and proof-of-concepts that demonstrate solution effectiveness.
  • Support sales negotiations by assessing account needs, technical requirements, and existing infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key customer stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Answer inbound inquiries, qualify interest, follow up on downloads, and document results in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies and provide technical training to sales team members.
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations in person or via video conference.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote solutions and generate leads.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the products, competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer needs.
  • Work with product management and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to product development.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of development experience with any Smalltalk dialect.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical pre-sales, product management, or a similar software industry role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of software development practices, development tools, and software technologies.
  • Experience with modern software architectures such as SaaS and microservices, or related technologies.
  • Proven ability to conduct effective product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.
  • Proven track record of supporting successful sales cycles and achieving sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet customers and attend industry events.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative attitude and willingness to share knowledge and support others.
