Description

  • Own the design of the API and integrations areas end to end, including developer-facing surfaces, documentation, and in-product connection flows.
  • Partner with product and research to define strategy as the API and MCP audience expands beyond developers.
  • Design and prototype AI-native patterns for the ChatGPT app, Claude connector, and MCP integration.
  • Shape integration experiences across CRM and AI-assisted workflows, including Salesforce and HubSpot connections.
  • Prototype ideas quickly in code and turn concepts into production-grade React components.
  • Lead work from problem framing through launch as the first Design Engineer hire.
  • Contribute technical perspective to the design process and help other designers strengthen technical skills.
  • Work AI-first using Cursor and Claude Code to produce high-quality output.

Requirements

  • Strong experience across both design and front-end engineering, with a portfolio of shipped interfaces or widely used components.
  • Fluency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS.
  • Comfort working close to API surfaces and developer tooling.
  • Genuine interest in developer experience and how it is changing for broader audiences through MCP and AI assistants.
  • Active, opinionated daily use of Cursor and Claude Code.
  • Ability to build from zero and set direction when there is no template to follow.
  • Judgment to partner with product on where the market is heading.
  • Excitement to work with an internal AI-enabled design system, Figma, Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot.
