Description

  • Proactively identify, pitch, and secure influential tech professionals, thought leaders, and practitioners as authors.
  • Negotiate author contracts and manage author onboarding to build a strong collaborative foundation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for authors throughout the publication journey.
  • Maintain long-term author relationships to encourage repeat authorship and ambassador-level partnerships.
  • Work with Growth Leads and Content Engineers to drive community participation and awareness of titles.
  • Build and sustain vibrant communities around key topic areas to strengthen Packt’s brand and content quality.
  • Develop advocate networks by identifying and engaging community members who can amplify title reach.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with industry bodies, influencers, and thought leaders to expand credibility and visibility.
  • Co-host events and contribute to industry discussions with partners across different channels.
  • Explore new product formats and engagement models such as expert panels, live events, and memberships.

Requirements

  • Track record in producing or guiding developer-focused learning resources for web and mobile.
  • Curiosity about application development and emerging AI-powered practices.
  • Experience shaping effective learning resources.
  • Access to a strong expert network.
  • Blend of people skills, product sensibility, DevRel marketing acumen, and community-building mindset.
  • Ability to work strategically in an outward-facing relationship role.
  • No sales background required; this is explicitly not a sales role.
  • Experience with author relationships, community engagement, or partnerships is likely beneficial (preferred by role context).
