Description

  • Build new products and features from concept through launch.
  • Own complex backend projects end to end, ensuring modular, maintainable, and high-quality code.
  • Deliver reliable system performance at scale with attention to security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with users, Product, and Design to shape feature ideas and roadmap direction.
  • Provide code reviews and technical guidance to improve team quality.
  • Participate in hiring by interviewing candidates and referring engineers.
  • Help operate and evolve business-critical backend systems in production.
  • Contribute to product strategy by connecting technical decisions to customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript and backend technologies, including Node.js, databases, and distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated ownership of systems running at scale with an emphasis on reliability and performance.
  • Product-oriented engineering mindset with understanding of the business reason behind what is being built.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design partners.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
  • Curiosity, ownership, and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Experience in e-commerce or consumer platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with loyalty or rewards programs is preferred.
  • Experience with marketing or lifecycle systems, or large-scale high-traffic consumer systems, is preferred.
