Description

  • Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
  • Oversee the accounting close process and enforce consistent reconciliation standards and GAAP compliance.
  • Lead preparation and review of SEC filings, disclosure footnotes, and related financial statement tie-outs.
  • Support the external audit process by responding to auditor inquiries and providing required documentation.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members while managing workload and deadlines.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and participate in recruiting and onboarding.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, standardization efforts, and automation initiatives.
  • Support remediation of control deficiencies and assist with SOX compliance activities, including SOX 404(b) readiness.
  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders including investors, lenders, and board members.

Requirements

  • CPA certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 8+ years of accounting experience, with public accounting (Big 4) and industry experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably in a public company environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Experience with financial systems, with NetSuite preferred.
  • Experience reviewing the work of others.
  • Experience in a role with team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
