Description

  • Work with Owlchemy leadership to understand available data and improve how data is collected, analyzed, and automated for decision-making.
  • Develop and own data pipelines, models, tools, and processes that ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
  • Build and maintain product dashboards that serve as the central source of truth for leadership, product development, and marketing.
  • Partner with stakeholders to recommend the use of quantitative and qualitative metrics and KPIs to drive technical and business outcomes.
  • Analyze play patterns to identify trends that can inspire new or improved game features and content.
  • Support marketing and sales with performance analyses for projects in development, at launch, and beyond.
  • Create well-documented analyses using data visualizations, tables, and presentation materials to communicate findings clearly.
  • Build automated dashboards and reports that improve understanding of business KPIs and player experience.
  • Stay current on Unity and VR industry trends and share relevant knowledge across the team.
  • Stay current with global data compliance regulations and help ensure data integrity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as a data analyst.
  • University diploma in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with data modeling in an applied context.
  • Experience working with large, complex data sets using structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience with Looker Studio or similar analytical tools.
  • 2+ years of games industry experience.
  • Live-operations games experience.
  • Familiarity with statistical and data programming languages such as SQL, PHP, Python, and C++.
  • Ability to perform data mining, pattern recognition, correlation analysis, and insight generation.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to research independently, verify data, and recommend improvements to analysis methodology.
  • Collaborative, creative, and detail-oriented approach with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Experience with Google or Microsoft spreadsheets and presentation tools.
  • Knowledge of games, VR, or software development lifecycles, preferred.
  • Technical familiarity with Unity, its analytical capabilities, and backend services, preferred.
  • Ability to design complex SQL queries and reports and troubleshoot data discrepancies, preferred.
  • Must be able to use virtual reality headsets.
  • Must be located and eligible to work in the United States or Canada.

  • Salary range of $105,000 to $130,000 USD per year.
