Description

  • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of distributed cloud-native applications for high-concurrency, real-time workloads.
  • Design and build production-grade data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows for transactional and analytical use cases.
  • Integrate ML and GenAI capabilities into product features, including model serving, retrieval, enrichment, and intelligent automation.
  • Champion data quality and correctness through validation, observability, and testing across pipelines and services.
  • Collaborate with data science, product, and engineering partners to deliver complex intelligent features.
  • Set engineering standards for code quality, security, and operational excellence.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and reliability risks in production systems.
  • Mentor peers, review code and architectures, and help raise the team’s technical bar.
  • Decompose legacy systems into SOA/microservices and reduce technical debt.
  • Own major initiatives end to end from planning through delivery and impact.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems with cloud service-oriented architecture.
  • Proven leadership in fast-paced environments, with experience setting standards and guiding technical teams.
  • Go required; Python strongly valued for data and AI work; Java or Ruby is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed data platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and NoSQL.
  • Experience building and operating data pipelines/ETL, including data modeling and schema design.
  • Experience building APIs and analytics or data infrastructure.
  • Experience deploying ML algorithms in production.
  • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to security, compliance, and robust, scalable design.
  • Nice to have: experience with Spark/Delta Lake, Databricks or Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
  • Nice to have: GenAI/LLM experience, including RAG, vector databases, embeddings, prompt/context engineering, and model/output evaluation.
  • Nice to have: MLOps exposure such as feature stores, model serving, and production monitoring.
  • Nice to have: experience shaping data as a product, including dashboards, semantic layers, and analytics enablement.
