Description

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of advanced battery systems for wearables from concept and feasibility through design, validation, manufacturing, and launch.
  • Bridge sourcing, hardware, firmware, software, product, science, manufacturing, and quality teams to align execution and resolve tradeoffs.
  • Build and maintain program schedules, map dependencies, manage risks, and proactively remove roadblocks.
  • Provide clear progress, risk, and strategy updates to executives, engineers, and external partners.
  • Coordinate integration between battery supplier deliverables and product development needs.
  • Drive testing and validation of battery performance, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Ensure battery compliance readiness across channels, markets, and logistics chains.
  • Establish best practices for battery program execution across NPI and sustaining programs.
  • Mentor senior team members and foster cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in NPI hardware development build and test cycles.
  • Proven track record shipping innovative products with custom battery systems, preferably for wearables.
  • Strong technical depth in battery technologies and power systems across system architecture and technical tradeoffs.
  • Knowledge of battery test methodology at both cell level and system level.
  • Experience working with product, engineering, industrial design, manufacturing, compliance, and regulatory teams to author requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, fast-moving environments, and global cross-timezone programs.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and wearable technology.
  • Experience with global battery suppliers, contract manufacturers, and supply chains is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with PM tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet is preferred.
  • Up to 30% global travel is required.
  • Must be able to work in a U.S. location outside the excluded states listed in the posting.
