Description

  • Own end-to-end features in Cart & Checkout from scope definition through rollout.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and partner engineering teams on architecture and delivery plans.
  • Design and implement full-stack solutions using TypeScript, React/Next.js, Tailwind, AWS Lambdas, DynamoDB, Redis, and modern CI/CD workflows.
  • Lead technical design for global checkout flows, fraud and risk controls, and new sales channels.
  • Write well-tested and well-documented code and promote engineering quality standards.
  • Instrument monitoring, logging, and alerting for new features and production systems.
  • Plan safe releases using feature flags, A/B tests, and rollback strategies.
  • Drive technical discovery and spike work when requirements are unclear.
  • Partner with QA and SRE to prepare critical revenue paths for peak events such as launches and BFCM.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing, code reviews, and standardized best practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong TypeScript skills.
  • Solid knowledge of API best practices and experience with serverless patterns such as AWS Lambdas and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, performant web services on AWS.
  • Experience with DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline configuration, monitoring, observability, and alerting in production.
  • A pragmatic, entrepreneurial, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to balance short-term goals and long-term technical debt.
  • Deep expertise in either frontend or backend development.
  • Frontend experience with modern React/Next.js, modern CSS such as Tailwind, web performance, accessibility, and frontend testing with Jest and Playwright.
  • Backend experience designing and operating web services on cloud platforms, preferably AWS, with strong API design, data modeling, and observability practices.
  • Preferred experience with online payments, PSPs, digital wallets, 3DS, or fraud/risk systems.
  • Preferred experience with global commerce, including multi-currency, localization, tax/shipping rules, and regional content.
  • Preferred experience building design systems, shared component libraries, or experimentation frameworks such as feature flags and A/B tests.
  • Preferred experience with event-driven or serverless architectures at scale.
