Description

  • Own end-to-end features in Cart and Checkout, including scope definition, architecture, and rollout planning with cross-functional partners.
  • Design and implement full-stack solutions using TypeScript, React/Next.js, Tailwind, AWS Lambdas, DynamoDB, Redis, and modern CI/CD workflows.
  • Lead technical design for high-impact initiatives such as global checkout flows, fraud and risk controls, and new buying pathways across sales channels.
  • Write well-tested, well-documented code and uphold quality and operational excellence standards.
  • Instrument monitoring, logging, and alerting for new features to support production reliability.
  • Plan safe rollouts using feature flags, A/B tests, and rollback strategies.
  • Drive technical discovery and spike work when requirements are unclear.
  • Collaborate with QA and SRE to prepare critical revenue paths for peak events and launches.
  • Support on-call rotations by debugging, fixing, and preventing incidents in production.
  • Mentor other engineers through design reviews, pairing, code review, and standardizing best practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong TypeScript skills.
  • Solid knowledge of API best practices, serverless patterns with AWS Lambdas, and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, performant web services on AWS.
  • Experience with DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline configuration, production monitoring and observability, and quality alerting.
  • A pragmatic, entrepreneurial, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to balance short-term goals and long-term technical debt.
  • Deep expertise in frontend development with modern React/Next.js, TypeScript, modern CSS such as Tailwind, web performance, accessibility, and frontend testing with Jest and Playwright; or backend development with cloud web services, strong API design, data modeling, and observability.
  • Experience with online payments, PSPs, digital wallets, 3DS, or fraud/risk systems preferred.
  • Experience with global commerce, including multi-currency, localization, tax/shipping rules, or regional content preferred.
  • Experience building design systems, shared component libraries, or experimentation frameworks such as feature flags and A/B tests preferred.
  • Prior work on event-driven or serverless architectures at scale preferred.
  • Candidates must be based in eligible US locations; some states are not considered for this role.
