Description

  • Design and build accounting capabilities including the general ledger, chart of accounts, journals, AP/AR, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Own integrations with inventory, payments, POS transaction flows, and regulatory e-invoicing systems.
  • Develop features across the full stack, from database schema through user interface.
  • Translate accounting requirements into system designs with product and accounting domain partners.
  • Use AI tools to evaluate systems, generate and review code, and accelerate development.
  • Make and defend early architectural decisions for reliable financial data systems.
  • Release features in short cycles and validate them with real merchants.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of production software engineering experience, including meaningful experience with accounting, ERP, or financial systems.
  • Understanding of double-entry accounting, period close, and ledger design.
  • Strong full-stack engineering skills with ownership from schema to user interface.
  • Daily experience using AI agents and LLM tooling with sound judgment about their output.
  • Experience shipping software quickly in early-stage or greenfield environments.
  • Strong focus on correctness in systems where errors have significant consequences.
  • Ability to work substantially within GMT+3 hours.
  • Product development instincts and experience shaping requirements with product partners (preferred).
  • Experience building or operating ledgers, double-entry engines, or transaction-processing systems at scale (preferred).
  • Experience in fintech, banking, payments, ERP platforms, ZATCA e-invoicing, AI-powered features, or Arabic-speaking markets (preferred).
