Description

  • Lead the Corporate Compliance and Privacy teams, including performance management and career development.
  • Design, implement, train, investigate, monitor, and enforce compliance programs, policies, and practices.
  • Lead compliance functions across monitoring, internal and external audits, and reporting for Oscar’s lines of business.
  • Provide advisory, investigatory, and remedial support to functional teams in partnership with Legal as needed.
  • Manage Oscar’s relationships with regulatory entities in collaboration with Legal and Government Affairs.
  • Coordinate responses to reporting and regulatory audit obligations and improve content-generating processes year over year.
  • Manage regulatory risk in coordination with the Compliance Department and broader Risk and Controls function.
  • Build compliance analytics processes to support board oversight and delegated compliance responsibilities.
  • Drive strategic improvements to align compliance activities with industry standards for insurers, tech companies, and public companies.
  • Serve as Oscar’s privacy officer and oversee the privacy program’s implementation and maintenance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a healthcare compliance setting, including managerial experience.
  • 10+ years of experience with HIPAA Privacy.
  • 5+ years of experience applying state and federal health insurance statutes, regulations, marketplace, and MA requirements to reporting and audit obligations.
  • 5+ years of experience preparing and delivering reports to boards of directors.
  • Experience in an operational or internal audit role is preferred.
  • Enterprise risk management experience is preferred.
  • HIPAA Security experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a startup and/or health tech environment is preferred.
  • Experience preparing and delivering reports for a public company board is preferred.
