Description

  • Work with cross-functional product, legal, and policy teams to develop internal policy positions on emerging regulatory issues.
  • Draft written materials for regulatory consultations and external engagements, including consultation responses and presentations.
  • Brief executive audiences on the impact of new and proposed rules on Coinbase products and practices.
  • Coordinate with trade groups to build consensus on industry positions and alternative regulatory approaches.
  • Organize and lead external engagements with regulators and standard setters.
  • Support a wide range of regulatory advocacy efforts across U.S. and global policy topics.
  • Produce original written work for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use generative AI tools and copilots responsibly to improve workflow efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or non-U.S. equivalent required; advanced degree in finance, economics, or law preferred.
  • 6+ years of financial services regulatory experience, ideally focused on CFTC, SEC, and/or prudential regulation.
  • Experience with public consultation or regulatory rulemaking processes.
  • Familiarity with digital asset regulation or policy.
  • Understanding of blockchain-based technology, products, and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams of subject matter experts.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills with the ability to produce original written work.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • Experience responding to regulatory consultations or equivalent experience on the government side (preferred).
  • Management consulting experience, experience at a multi-client law firm, or experience with a government agency/authority (preferred).

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $130,900 to $154,000 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
  • Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Remote-first work model with required in-person participation throughout the year.
  • Team and company-wide offsites multiple times per year, fully supported by the company.
