Description

  • Own the cloud infrastructure that underpins live trading systems.
  • Respond to incidents and provide front-line operational support for platform issues.
  • Drive automation to reduce manual operational work and improve reliability.
  • Build and maintain tooling that supports platform operations and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the UK/Dubai platform team on infrastructure and reliability work.
  • Support internal engineering teams and traders by addressing platform pain points and improving service quality.
  • Design, deploy, and operate cloud environments at scale.
  • Troubleshoot Kubernetes pod, cluster, networking, and storage issues.
  • Maintain infrastructure as code and treat infrastructure changes as versioned, reviewed software.
  • Write and maintain documentation such as runbooks, incident reports, and knowledge base materials.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in a cloud infrastructure or platform engineering role.
  • Microsoft Azure experience is required, including compute, networking, storage, and managed services.
  • Proven Terraform experience, including state management, modules, and multi-environment deployments.
  • Production Kubernetes experience, including deploying and managing containerized workloads.
  • Python experience for automation, operational tooling, monitoring, and process improvement.
  • Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
  • Incident response experience, including diagnosing, triaging, and communicating issues under pressure.
  • Highly self-directed, with the ability to prioritize independently and escalate appropriately without day-to-day oversight.
  • Strong written and spoken English for asynchronous communication, incident reports, runbooks, and technical documentation.
  • Experience supporting distributed engineering teams across time zones is strongly preferred.
  • Monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor is nice to have.
  • Security and compliance experience in cloud environments is nice to have.
  • Cloud cost management and optimization experience is nice to have.
  • AWS experience alongside Azure is nice to have.
  • Prior experience in financial services or fintech, or interest in financial technology and capital markets, is preferred.
  • C# or other object-oriented programming experience is a plus, with C# particularly advantageous.
