Description

  • Operate and maintain the AWS-based production platform used by healthcare provider customers.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and security of US cloud environments.
  • Support the EU engineering team with code deployments to US production environments.
  • Provide input to development teams on backup, disaster recovery, security, monitoring, and release/deployment practices.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for outages, alerts, and security incidents.
  • Maintain detailed system documentation, operational runbooks, playbooks, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot cloud application issues and ensure timely resolution for customers.
  • Help define, prepare, and collect evidence for SOC2 audits and FedRAMP authorization packages.
  • Maintain continuous compliance of US cloud infrastructure with HIPAA, SOC2, and FedRAMP requirements, including patching and configuration hardening.
  • Manage US employee IT systems, including access management, device procurement and configuration, backup and disaster recovery, monitoring, and first-line helpdesk support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in cloud and IT system management, including at least 3 years in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with a subset of AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, IoT Core, DynamoDB, S3, Batch, EC2, and SageMaker.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS security, compliance, and monitoring services such as WAF, Config, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
  • Proficiency with server administration, virtualization technologies, and IT security.
  • Proven experience working within HIPAA, SOC2, and HITECH frameworks.
  • Deep familiarity with NIST 800-53 (FedRAMP) and Trust Services Criteria (SOC2).
  • Hands-on experience maintaining systems under SOC2 Type II and FedRAMP (NIST 800-53) frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows administration, Docker, and scripting with Python, Bash, or TypeScript.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS Security, or ITIL are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for maintenance or emergency support.
  • Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone to ensure overlap with the Europe-based team.
