Description

  • Lead all phases of the M&A deal lifecycle, from initial meetings and LOI through definitive agreements and closing.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with solar financiers, tax equity investors, ESG-focused private equity firms, and other institutional partners.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive map of the renewable energy financial services landscape, including infrastructure funds, asset managers, tax equity providers, and capital sources.
  • Conduct advanced financial analysis and modeling, including DCFs, comparables, merger models, LCOE analysis, and asset yield modeling.
  • Model complex capital structures and distribution waterfalls to evaluate the economics of tax equity flips, debt tranches, and equity participations.
  • Lead cross-functional due diligence with Legal, Product, Engineering, and Ops to identify and quantify transaction risks.
  • Support negotiations and deal structuring by providing corporate finance analysis, aligning modeling standards, and helping shape commercial terms.
  • Prepare and present investment theses and financial rationale to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  • Drive integration planning for Finance, Operations, and G&A functions after close.
  • Track and validate post-close synergies against the original deal thesis and help refine the company’s M&A playbook.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in transaction-intensive roles such as Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
  • Proven experience leading, structuring, and closing multiple M&A transactions, ideally in the $25M–$200M enterprise value range.
  • Experience in renewable energy, technology, SaaS, or FinTech sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage external financial and legal advisors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Deep experience in Renewable Energy Finance strongly preferred.
  • MBA from a top-tier program highly preferred.
  • Experience with institutional investors, capital markets, or structured partnerships preferred.
  • Ability to work without current or future employer sponsorship.
