Description

  • Architect context pipelines and task specifications that enable AI agents to produce reliable, mergeable code.
  • Design and maintain agent-ready repositories, test suites, and CI/CD pipelines with actionable structured feedback.
  • Drive the migration from a legacy monolith to microservices, including bounded-domain decomposition decisions.
  • Set engineering standards for GraphQL and REST APIs, database schemas, and CI/CD quality.
  • Design scalable, future-proof domain systems aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to identify high-value problems and drive technical direction.
  • Review AI-generated and peer code, ensuring quality, validation, and accountability.
  • Mentor engineers and senior engineers on AI-assisted development practices and technical-debt reduction.
  • Contribute to AI tooling evaluations, workshops, workflow curation, and OLX-wide AI practices.

Requirements

  • Based in Portugal and able to work remotely.
  • Strong experience with Golang and Java/Kotlin; ability to work with PHP.
  • Deep expertise in scalable distributed systems, large-scale web applications, CI/CD, AWS, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience using agentic coding workflows such as Claude Code, Cursor Agent, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of context engineering, including repository structure, agent configuration files, code context, memory, and tool access.
  • Understanding of AI model-routing trade-offs and multi-agent orchestration.
  • Strong computer science and coding fundamentals, with ability to design solutions and review code.
  • Ability to design well-bounded, scalable domain systems with an economic and business-oriented mindset.
  • Strong technical leadership, mentoring, stakeholder influence, and ownership skills.
  • Clear English communication skills for engineering, product, and leadership audiences.
