Description

  • Perform detailed civil design work, including preparing drawings and layouts, reviewing project specifications, and completing design calculations.
  • Research design concepts and techniques and develop improved approaches for project design work.
  • Execute complex computer-aided design assignments and ensure designs align with project objectives and quality standards.
  • Review drawings, prepare project cost estimates, and attend client meetings as needed.
  • Maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project correspondence.
  • Assist in preparing environmental impact materials and other project studies.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of less experienced staff when required.
  • Work on project sites in varying terrain, weather conditions, and stages of construction when necessary.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in drafting or a related field preferred.
  • 8 or more years of experience in drafting and design.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D software.
  • Experience with grading, surface creation, analysis, and utility design.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute to and work well on a team.
  • Experience working collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned work.
  • Ability to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions, and on project sites in various stages of construction.
