Description

  • Lead the technical sales cycle for large enterprise accounts and support Enterprise Account Executives on complex deals.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to uncover customer pain points, business drivers, and technical requirements.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear business value for stakeholders across matrixed enterprise organizations.
  • Present and collaborate with CISOs, IT security leaders, identity engineers, enterprise architects, PAM admins, and application owners.
  • Differentiate Okta’s platform by explaining its architecture, compliance posture, and platform coverage.
  • Guide customers on AI visibility and control, including discovering unmanaged AI agents and evaluating associated risks.
  • Drive technical evaluation phases and remove objections to move deals to technical closure.
  • Build consultative relationships with strategic customers and serve as a subject matter expert in identity security and modern identity standards.
  • Position identity governance, privileged access management, and identity security automation solutions where relevant.

Requirements

  • Recent, proven experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or Pre-Sales Engineer.
  • Strong track record of quota attainment and securing technical wins with large, complex enterprise accounts.
  • Top-tier executive communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience running value-based sales motions and influencing decision-makers through business outcomes.
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to learn new enterprise technologies and architectures rapidly.
  • Broad understanding of the identity security landscape, including SSO, MFA, identity governance, privileged access management, threat protection, modern authentication protocols, and zero trust architecture.
  • Experience positioning and selling IGA, PAM, and identity security automation workflows is highly desired.
  • Experience with or strong understanding of AI tools, AI agents, LLM integrations, and the security implications of non-human identity is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with modern identity standards such as SAML, OIDC, and SSF.

  • Annual OTE range of $200,000 to $275,000 USD for candidates in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
