Description

  • Create code demos and sample applications to showcase Okta product features.
  • Write blog posts and produce videos explaining how developers can integrate Okta into identity solutions.
  • Respond to developer and integrator questions across social media, forums, and Okta post comments.
  • Speak at technical events and support workshops, labs, and hackathons.
  • Lead conversations on identity and represent Okta to external developer audiences.
  • Test product usage scenarios with a “developer zero” mindset.
  • Capture community feedback and drive it to the appropriate product teams.
  • Build relationships with developers who are using Okta or onboarding to Okta.
  • Champion Okta services to ISVs and Okta Partners.
  • Craft technical resources such as sample apps, videos, guides, and workshops.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a developer, with developer relations experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated use of AI in development environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, SDKs, and authentication/authorization protocols including OAuth2, Basic Auth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
  • Server-side development experience; Java and/or .NET experience is a plus.
  • Experience creating developer content and presenting findings to other developers online and at in-person events.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Deep understanding of developer communities and forums, with active participation.
  • Ability to work self-directed and remotely while maintaining visibility with internal teams and external communities.
  • Track record as a strong contributor and collaborator who takes initiative.
  • Passion for developer topics, problem-solving, and staying current with developer trends.

  • Annual base salary of $136,000 to $187,000 CAD for candidates located in Canada.
