Description

  • Lead technical discovery sessions with infrastructure and security leaders to uncover modernization challenges in legacy WAM environments.
  • Deliver customized demonstrations and architectural sessions focused on Okta Access Gateway and hybrid identity use cases.
  • Design and execute proof-of-concepts that validate Okta’s value for header-based applications and complex on-premises ERP systems.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Okta identity products, underlying technologies, and protocols.
  • Create engaging solution content for software engineering, operations, product management, and business stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain reusable demonstration systems, diagrams, documentation, and proof-of-concept templates for presales use.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to Solutions Engineering teams across the Okta identity platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Global Office of Field CTO to capture field insights, validate customer needs, and surface product trends.
  • Deliver keynote presentations, webinars, and technical sessions at customer and industry events.
  • Partner with sales leadership, Enablement, and Field CTO teams on regional events, messaging, and global initiatives.

Requirements

  • Deep, expert-level knowledge of legacy Web Access Management tools such as CA SiteMinder, Oracle Access Manager, and PingAccess.
  • Experience managing identity synchronization and access across on-premises environments such as Active Directory and LDAP and the cloud.
  • Strong understanding of Kerberos, header-based authentication, and modern protocols such as OIDC and SAML.
  • Hands-on experience securing and integrating enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and PeopleSoft.
  • Strong understanding of reverse proxies, load balancers, and Okta Access Gateway deployment models.
  • Solid grasp of SSL/TLS termination, certificate management, and on-premises network security.
  • Understanding of modern identity attack vectors, including phishing, token theft, MFA bypass, and lateral movement.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM roles in AWS, Azure, and GCP and how they contribute to the non-human identity attack surface.
  • Experience designing integrations with SIEM and SOAR tools such as Splunk and Sentinel for automated threat response.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience contributing to technical events.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for customer meetings, industry events, and internal off-sites.
  • Remote position.
  • Preferred: experience with scripting or automation using Python or PowerShell.
  • Preferred: experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Preferred: certifications such as CIDPRO, CISSP, CCSP, or CISM.
