Description

  • Lead a team of five Principal+ Solutions Engineers and build out future leadership for the Key Accounts segment.
  • Drive the full hiring process, from sourcing to closing, and develop team members through hands-on growth plans.
  • Champion structured strategic presales engagements using consistent technical strategies, roadmaps, and playbooks.
  • Establish and track KPIs, refine operating processes, and improve engagement models to increase efficiency and impact.
  • Serve as executive sponsor on strategic deals and propose approaches that improve opportunity success.
  • Build relationships with CIOs, CISOs, and other senior technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to operationalize enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message.
  • Work with Operations, Enablement, HR, and Finance on workforce planning, skills development, and budget alignment.
  • Act as a feedback loop to Product and Engineering based on customer needs and deal insights.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of presales leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading within a presales organization selling to Fortune 50 companies.
  • Experience building and leading geographically distributed teams of managers.
  • Proven ability to develop talent to support both career growth and organizational goals.
  • Experience building and scaling repeatable strategic engagement models in a presales environment.
  • Experience with value-based and business outcome-based selling methodologies, including MEDDPICC and Command of the Message.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence C-level executives in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Strong vision for market opportunity and how customers can use Okta solutions to drive business outcomes.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Deep expertise in the security product market, including competitive offerings and industry trends.

  • OTE range of $327,000-$450,000 USD for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • OTE range of $292,000-$402,000 USD for candidates in California outside the Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
