Description

  • Design, build, and deploy new user experiences and backend services across multiple business verticals.
  • Own features end-to-end from planning and design through development, deployment, measurement, and iteration.
  • Break down complex engineering problems into achievable tasks and deliver work within committed timeframes.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and business stakeholders to define and implement features.
  • Contribute to A/B tests and use experimentation results to guide what ships.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote strong coding patterns, testing, and edge-case handling.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers, new hires, and interns.
  • Create shared components, utilities, and services that improve team velocity.
  • Maintain runbooks, alerting, and monitoring for shipped features.
  • Participate in a reasonable on-call rotation and serve as a subject matter expert in team sub-domains.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to own multiple features end-to-end, including planning, design, development, and deployment.
  • Strong full-stack development skills with React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Java, and modern web tooling.
  • Good understanding of responsive design, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience building and integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs.
  • Working understanding of microservices and distributed-systems fundamentals.
  • Good knowledge of data structures and object-oriented design.
  • Hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot in a real engineering workflow.
  • Strong coding habits, including writing appropriate tests, considering trade-offs, and seeking out edge cases.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in code reviews.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: fluency in another modern object-oriented programming language, experience with Agile development, AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, web package managers, Bower, bundler systems, NodeJS, Python, webpack, A/B testing platforms such as Statsig, LaunchDarkly, or Optimizely, analytics warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake, and LLM-based APIs such as Bedrock, Vertex AI, or OpenAI.
