Description

  • Design and maintain data ingestion and transformation flows using dbt, SQL, and Python.
  • Build reliable pipelines from ETLs, CDC, APIs, CSVs, and event streams into analytical models.
  • Ensure deduplication, data integrity, and reliability for BI reporting.
  • Develop semantic and analytical data models, including fact and dimension tables and star or snowflake schemas.
  • Optimize query performance in the BI warehouse across current and future warehouse technologies.
  • Implement versioned entities and audit trails for business data.
  • Build pre-aggregations and semantic layers to support analytics use cases.
  • Support dashboards and client-facing reports in Grafana.
  • Design KPIs and metrics with product, risk, and operations teams.
  • Monitor data freshness, pipeline SLAs, and dashboard accuracy, and set up alerts and documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in BI engineering, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with at least one data warehouse such as Athena, Redshift, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with dimensional modeling, dbt, star and snowflake schemas, and metric layers.
  • Python experience for transformations.
  • Experience with data validation, deduplication, and audit logs.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling.
  • Basic knowledge of Terraform or CDK and containerized pipelines.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and collaborative with business users.
  • Knowledge of semantic layers such as Cube or dbt metrics is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure is preferred.
  • Experience with client-facing dashboards or Grafana is preferred.
  • Familiarity with real-time analytics and pre-aggregations is preferred.
