Description

Design and maintain data ingestion and transformation flows using dbt, SQL, and Python.
Build reliable pipelines from ETLs, CDC, APIs, CSVs, and event streams into analytical models.
Ensure deduplication, data integrity, and reliability for BI reporting.
Develop semantic and analytical data models, including fact and dimension tables and star or snowflake schemas.
Optimize query performance in the BI warehouse across current and future warehouse technologies.
Implement versioned entities and audit trails for business data.
Build pre-aggregations and semantic layers to support analytics use cases.
Support dashboards and client-facing reports in Grafana.
Design KPIs and metrics with product, risk, and operations teams.
Monitor data freshness, pipeline SLAs, and dashboard accuracy, and set up alerts and documentation.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in BI engineering, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
Strong SQL skills and experience with at least one data warehouse such as Athena, Redshift, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
Hands-on experience with dimensional modeling, dbt, star and snowflake schemas, and metric layers.
Python experience for transformations.
Experience with data validation, deduplication, and audit logs.
Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling.
Basic knowledge of Terraform or CDK and containerized pipelines.
Detail-oriented, reliable, and collaborative with business users.
Knowledge of semantic layers such as Cube or dbt metrics is preferred.
Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure is preferred.
Experience with client-facing dashboards or Grafana is preferred.
Familiarity with real-time analytics and pre-aggregations is preferred.
