Description

  • Build and maintain pipelines and reporting services for financial, payment, settlement, and transaction data.
  • Adapt and extend reports based on merchant requests while managing competing priorities and short deadlines.
  • Contribute to a self-service Reporting API that enables merchants to generate reports independently.
  • Own assigned work from requirements through delivery, identifying blockers and dependencies early.
  • Participate in an approximately four-week rotating on-call schedule and respond to production incidents.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and blockers proactively in a fast-moving engineering environment.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude in development workflows, automation, and pull-request reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering and/or reporting, delivering production-grade data solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL for data pipelines, reporting solutions, and workflows.
  • Production experience with AWS data services, ideally including Redshift.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed teams across locations and time zones.
  • Experience working with data requiring high accuracy, consistency, and traceability; financial services, payments, or fintech experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with rotating on-call responsibilities approximately once every four weeks.
  • Experience with AI-assisted tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
  • Advanced English required; Java backend development, financial reporting data, CI/CD, and Tabit experience are preferred or nice to have.
