Description

  • Own the procurement portfolio for one or more residential low-carbon technology categories, such as heat pumps, EV charge points, solar PV, or battery storage.
  • Build and lead an optimisation pipeline to improve pricing, quality, availability, new product introduction, tail spend, contract compliance, and risk management.
  • Work with colleagues across the business to develop creative commercial solutions and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Bring products to market that meet customer needs and support the company’s decarbonisation mission.
  • Develop scalable supply chain solutions that create competitive advantage for the in-house supply chain.
  • Lead sourcing and contracting activities in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Travel to internal offices and supplier sites across the UK, with a focus on the Midlands and London.
  • Support commercial and technology development in a fast-changing, start-up-style environment.

Requirements

  • Experience leading commercial and supply chain development activities for direct spend in a supplier-facing role.
  • Ideally experience within the residential low-carbon technology space.
  • Ability to lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting through effective collaboration with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of supplier and market drivers.
  • Entrepreneurial drive with a growth and customer-first mindset.
  • Resilience and willingness to challenge norms and push boundaries.
  • Comfort working at speed in a start-up culture and in an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong prioritisation and multitasking skills.
  • Low cost country sourcing experience is a bonus.
  • Ability to travel 2-3 days a week, with occasional international travel.
