Description

  • Contribute to building and improving platform services by writing code, reviewing changes, and supporting deployments.
  • Work with senior engineers to design and implement solutions that improve scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
  • Help maintain and operate core systems including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring tools.
  • Participate in incident response and retrospectives to support learning and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineers across teams to understand needs and translate them into practical platform solutions.
  • Take ownership of tasks and smaller projects while developing toward ownership of larger platform areas.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud provider.
  • Experience contributing to the operation of production systems, ideally in a distributed or cloud environment.
  • Solid communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and automation tools.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, with Amazon EKS used in production.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience with messaging queues or event-driven systems, with RabbitMQ used in production.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, PostgreSQL, and Linux system administration.
  • Exposure to multi-team environments or shared platform services is a plus.
  • Interest in data-focused systems such as analytics, telemetry, or IoT is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD or observability practices beyond the basics is a plus.
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn from more senior engineers are a plus.
