Description

  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle from prospecting through close for retail and omni-channel clients.
  • Build and execute a territory plan targeting large retailers and quick service restaurants with complex in-store POS environments.
  • Maintain an active, measurable pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasting.
  • Lead consultative discussions on the merchant payments environment, including POS architecture, terminal providers, ISVs, middleware, gateways, and payment devices.
  • Explain how card-present and card-not-present transactions flow through the merchant ecosystem.
  • Advise merchants on POS upgrades, terminal certifications, EMV requirements, and omnichannel tokenization strategies.
  • Collaborate with solutions engineering to design seamless POS integrations from API connectivity through certification testing and deployment.
  • Conduct deep discovery to understand store operations, checkout processes, fraud challenges, and omnichannel roadmaps.
  • Translate merchant requirements into commercial proposals for eCommerce, in-store, and unified payment solutions.
  • Own commercial negotiations, including pricing, implementation structure, and multi-year agreements.
  • Partner with Sales Ops, legal, product, and finance to structure deals that meet revenue, cost, and margin targets.
  • Provide voice-of-customer insights on POS trends, retailer demands, and industry shifts to inform the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience in payments, POS, and retail technology.
  • Strong understanding of POS ecosystems, including terminal hardware and device vendors, POS software, middleware and gateway solutions, certification processes, store deployment cycles, and card-present transaction flows.
  • Demonstrated success selling into large retail organizations with complex in-store environments.
  • Ability to simplify technical POS concepts for senior non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Hands-on experience working with product, engineering, and implementation teams to close enterprise deals.
  • Existing relationships within Tier 1/Tier 2 retail and omni-channel merchant organizations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of unified commerce, omnichannel tokenization, payment orchestration, fraud tools, and alternative payment methods is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or a similar enterprise sales methodology is preferred.
