Description

  • Identify and prioritize the right customer problems to solve, making trade-offs that deliver high-impact outcomes quickly.
  • Design and build end-to-end product features, taking ownership from initial design and planning through implementation, testing, and delivery.
  • Develop backend and frontend features and components that improve cost management, cost exploration, and user experience.
  • Engage with prospective and existing customers to gather feedback and validate solutions and feature designs.
  • Create data pipelines and dbt models to surface insights that help users optimize cloud data costs.
  • Build reusable, robust UI components and new data visualizations to communicate performance, query timing, and efficiency.
  • Improve reliability and performance of the application through pragmatic engineering, testing, and monitoring.
  • Write clear proposals, documentation, commit messages, and tests; participate in code reviews and collaborative design work.

Requirements

  • Experience building and shipping product features using Python, TypeScript, and React.
  • Experience creating data pipelines and dbt models or similar analytics engineering work.
  • Strong ownership mindset with history of taking features from conception to production.
  • Demonstrated ability to iterate quickly while balancing speed and depth, including pragmatic decision-making and testing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including writing proposals, documentation, and clear commit messages.
  • Comfort working fully remotely and participating in regular team standups and pairing sessions.
  • Nice to have: experience with FinOps, cloud infrastructure cost management, data warehouse management, or observability.
  • Nice to have: experience working at an early-stage startup and shipping product quickly to customers.
