Description

  • Develop Tailscale product features across client code and backend services.
  • Own the product lifecycle from code implementation through product ideation and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other engineers to shape and deliver features.
  • Design, run, and measure experiments to understand customer engagement and growth patterns.
  • Use data and metrics to improve experiment visibility and evaluate product impact.
  • Contribute growth-focused ideas and advocate for product-led growth best practices across the engineering and product organization.
  • Participate in code reviews and help improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Create technical prototypes for potential features and incorporate user feedback into development.
  • Influence product roadmap decisions with technical and growth insights.

Requirements

  • Strong track record of working with a product mindset and influencing product strategy.
  • Experience with backend and client development.
  • User-focused design and problem-solving abilities.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to give and process constructive feedback and work independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of a startup.
  • Adaptable development approach with an iterative mindset.
  • Comfort working asynchronously in a fully remote environment.
