Description

Analyze, document, and report defects using QA best practices.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to coordinate testing work and understand the development process.
Create comprehensive test plans and execute manual and automated tests.
Develop automated functional tests for company products and systems.
Work with the QA team to automate high-cost test plans and improve team throughput.
Execute functional and nonfunctional testing to certify the quality of new software releases.
Perform cross-browser testing to verify application compatibility across browsers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
1-3 years of relevant professional experience in QA.
Knowledge of the software development life cycle and bug life cycle.
Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver and Pytest.
Experience with Python or similar programming languages.
Experience with Pycharm and GitHub Actions.
Experience with JIRA, TestRail/Testmo, and Confluence.
Experience with open-source databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Experience with API/backend testing tools such as Postman.
Strong attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of bug triaging, Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and QA effort.
Understanding of testing techniques such as performance and automated testing, including their strengths and weaknesses.
Expertise in cross-browser and cross-environment testing.
Must be legally authorized to live and work in South Africa and maintain South African residency throughout employment.
Periodic travel may be required for company/team events and client meetings in South Africa or New York.
