Description

  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and end users across assigned agencies and departments.
  • Develop and implement a sales plan and geographic territory strategy with input from the Director of Sales.
  • Manage a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Travel to client locations and attend symposiums, conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to generate sales opportunities.
  • Develop customer requirements for future bids and contract quotations for equipment and services.
  • Provide price quotations, credit or contract terms, warranties, delivery dates, product specifications, and demonstrations.
  • Process quotes and orders accurately through internal CRM and ERP systems.
  • Assist Inside Sales with quote data entry and identify funding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams on product development, improvements, and modifications.
  • Prepare reports, maintain sales records, and file expense reports by corporate deadlines.
  • Develop marketing strategies to create new sales leads within the existing region.
  • Communicate market intelligence, opportunities, and threats to the company.
  • Take ownership of the full customer sales process and maintain an organized sales calendar.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative.
  • Strong understanding of government sales and federal contracting.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense, military, federal agencies, or law enforcement.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience, or 5 years of industry experience in lieu of education.
  • Ability to complete work within deadlines with little supervision.
  • Ability to carry out skillful negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance if required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, and Salesforce.
  • NetSuite or familiarity with an ERP system is a plus.
  • Proficiency in internet searching.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations and industry events within the assigned territory.
