Description

  • Monitor bid boards and procurement channels for opportunities within the assigned market segment, including DIBBS, GSA Ebuy, Unison, and SAM.gov.
  • Respond to incoming quote requests by phone and email and answer customer questions about products, pricing, availability, uses, and credit terms.
  • Recommend products and prepare quotes, including pricing, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Enter and manage quotes, customers, opportunities, and pipeline activity in Salesforce and process orders in the ERP system.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with repeat customers and consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve issues and provide ongoing support.
  • Develop marketing strategies to reach new contacts within existing accounts and support territory strategy, vendor relations, and dealer-of-record development.
  • Achieve sales and margin objectives set by the Director.
  • Conduct continuing market research on specific business channels and share leads with the Regional Sales team.
  • Respond to undriven-preferred vendor opportunities on TLS SOE and FESE contracts.
  • Provide customers with product samples and catalogs as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Government sales and federal contracting experience is a plus.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all business levels.
  • Solid understanding of assigned sales markets and company objectives and goals.
  • Ability to build rapport and credibility with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
  • Customer service focus with the ability to manage difficult customer situations.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite or comparable software, internet search tools, and database creation/entry.
  • Understanding of and experience with ERP software.
  • Salesforce experience is a plus.
