Description

  • Lead and manage multiple customer-facing software delivery engagements from initiation through closure.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure effective governance and delivery aligned with best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams across multiple locations in EMEA to support delivery success.
  • Communicate timely and accurately with senior stakeholders, including customer sponsors and internal management.
  • Attend and contribute to senior stakeholder meetings and steering committees.
  • Manage project risks, escalate issues early, and propose countermeasures to keep delivery on track.
  • Monitor scope, support change control, and protect program baselines when plans change.
  • Track revenue forecasts, budgets, and invoices to maintain a strong commercial focus.
  • Measure delivery quality and efficiency and capture lessons learned.
  • Contribute to the improvement of project management processes, resources, and tools within the Services team.

Requirements

  • Degree educated with 3-5+ years of experience managing IT/software projects using established program management disciplines and methodologies.
  • Experience in customer-facing program or senior project management with strong stakeholder management, reporting, and team management responsibilities.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent IT/software projects of varying complexity across cross-functional, multi-location teams.
  • Previous experience handling customer management issues such as crisis management, over-commitment, delays, and action item tracking.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to report clearly on status, risks, defects, open issues, and delays.
  • Ability to guide customers through challenges and delays without unnecessary escalations.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and understand business needs and priorities.
  • Experience managing projects in a global matrix organization is essential.
  • Experience with IT software implementation and integration projects.
  • PMP certification is important, though the ability to adapt to detailed processes and methodologies is also required.
  • Technical, IT, or telephony background is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and communicate concisely from team level to board level.
  • Must speak and write excellent English; other European languages are an advantage.
  • Basic experience with some of the following: SQL, Java, JS, API, HTML, CSS, XML, XSL, Servlets, Web Services, Windows, Linux OS, WebSphere, Tomcat, WebLogic, Oracle, SQL Server, and data warehousing tools such as ETL and OLAP.
