Description

  • Oversee a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure prompt collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Manage and support an offshore collections team to achieve collection targets.
  • Proactively recover overdue debts through phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to resolve payment issues.
  • Monitor customer accounts, identify credit risks, and escalate problem debts when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and communications.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve disputes and billing queries.
  • Assist with credit checks and set credit limits in line with company policy.
  • Prepare regular debtor reports, including aged debt analysis and risk assessments.
  • Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Credit Manager, Credit Analyst, or similar accounts receivable role.
  • Strong understanding of credit control principles and Americas debt collection practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a professional, confident telephone manner.
  • Proven ability to build rapport and maintain positive customer relationships while enforcing payment discipline.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, or NetSuite is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Results-driven, target-focused, confident, assertive, resilient, and committed to compliance.
